ok sorry if this has been gone over before but i have done a search
im new to dreambox 500. so be patient with me.

i have followed the instructions to set up jade3 on this box. but i have to use a wifi bridge (im told that this doesnt matter)
one set up i have tried to ping the ip address of the box and all i get back is
"destination host unreachable"
this is from my ubuntu terminal i also get a similar message on ms vista.
when i try to do a software update i can see the wifi bridge flashing away but it comes back with the message
"cant resolve hostname"
have i missed something or maybe do i need to change some settings on my wireless hub. *31*
hope someone can help because i am down to my last few strands of hair and im not sure what to cut off next al capone

job sorted thanks,
i think it was an update from bt that caused me some confusion as after the update my router have reverted to its default key settings.
but i was using the settings i had put into the router, and the devise seamed to be accepting them.
