important changes from 2.8.4 to 3.0
new kernel
new kernel for DM8000, DM800HD and DM500HD changed from 2.6.12 to 2.6.18
new oe
changed from oe 1.5 to 1.6 (what is oe) You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
wlan (usb)
now it is automaticly activated after startup/reboot
USB-Stick
new kernel has changed usb identification. if u plugin a usb-stick first it is identified as sda1. after rebooting your box it is identiefied as /media/hdd. the reason is very simple. sda1 can be an usb-stick or an external hdd.
MediaTomb
This UPnP MediaServer on your Dreambox is for a connection ie PS3 and Dreambox or Samsungs Medi@-Center and Dreambox

new bootlogos for DM8000, DM800HD, DM500HD and DM7025

new configsaver option / now ftp-save
for now u can save your configs to a ftp-server like if u have 2 dreamboxes u can save it to one of that. first of all
press the blue button -> newnigma2 services -> system tools -> config saver. there u can select "Setup FTP"

now u can save your configs. go to save and select what u want to save

now u press the green button and your files are saved on the ftp server

if u check your other dreambox, in my case the dreambox 800, u will see via ftp or cosole or something else this

in that dir you find the saved config in a tar in my case = 20100312110112.tar.gz. to restore yout settings select ftp-server.
newnigmascript(executer)
this is a new scriptexecuter which runs in the background
