how can i install this smargo driver on my dm 7000?
the driver must in the folder lib-modules-kernel-2.6XX-...

HowTo DM7000 Smargo Treiber aktivieren unter Gemini 4.6
Hallo zusammen,

wurde zwar schon einmal beschrieben, hab mir aber ein Wolf gesucht bis
ich es mal gefunden habe. Hab mal die Treiber mit beigepackt. Sollte noch
was zu verbessern sein, einfach melden.



Die Smargo Treiber sind Im Gemini Image enthalten, aber nicht aktiviert.
FileZilla oder ähnliches FTP Programm starten und Verbindung zur Dreambox
Aufbauen und geht ins folgende Verzeichnis

lib/modules/2.6.9/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/


Das sind die Treiber usbserial.ko & ftdi_sio.ko hinterlegt, bei denen die Dateiattribute
(Rechte) auf 755 gesetzt werden.

Init Datei erstellen

Nun erstellen ihr eine „ init “ Datei mit einem linux konformen Editor (ultraedit32,
Crimson Editor, Notepad++)

Da wir folgendes eingetragen

insmod /lib/modules/2.6.9/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/usbserial.ko &&
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.9/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.ko

Datei speichern und unter var/etc und Dateiattribute (rechte) auf 755 setzen.
Dreambox neu starten. Fertig!!!

managed to get oscam with libusb support working on windows.

first you need to download this :
zadig.exe
run it.
in the option, select "List All Devices"
Then in the list of device, select "USB Serial Coverter"
The Vendor ID should say 0403
The Product Id should say 6001

then click in the "Install Driver" button.
once the driver is install, unplug and replug your smargo.

and run oscam (use list_smargo to get the device configuration).
This version of oscam expect the config file in the same directory.
If you have them in cygwin /usr/local/etc then run it like this :
oscam.exe -c /usr/local/etc
