Slovenian pubcaster inks Eutelsat deal
Published: 11.16 Europe/London, May 6, 2011 by Chris Dziadul

The Slovenian public broadcaster RTV Slovenia signed a new 10-year contract with Eutelsat for capacity at the Hot Bird neighbourhood.

RTV Slovenia has a longstanding relationship with Eutelsat dating back to 1997, when it launched digital TV services, and today transmits its three national channels, one regional channel (TV Capodistria) and five radio stations via Hot Bird to Slovenia, the rest of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Satellite homes can access the entire programme line-up with the on-off purchase of a smartcard, costing €15.
