VLC Graphite- Dreambox Streaming with VLC

I) Installation

1- Find the VideoLAN\VLC\http folder on
your harddrive, or where-ever you installed
VLC.

2- Select and rename the index.html file to
index_old.html

3- Select and rename the style.css file to
style_old.css

4- Copy and paste the extracted contents of
the Graphite Theme into this folder.

-ccLogo.png
* THIS SHOULD NOT OVERWRITE ANY FILES *

5- Start VLC and go to
Settings
+ Add Interface
+ Web Interface
to add the web interface to VLC.
6- Using a web browser or web enabled PDA
browse to VLC's web interface. If you have
a private netork this is probably
accessable at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

* To find out your IP using Windows go to
Start > Run > type in 'cmd'. Then in the
console type 'ipconfig'. It should list
your private IP address, this is what you
should put as the address where it says
'yourIP'

7- If you can see a grey page with a bunch of
stuff on it then your good and the install
is complete.

15.09.2010: Folgende Einstellung im VLC sorgt dafuer, dass beim starten von VLC immer die Dreambox playlist abgespielt wird. Das macht das Erstellen eines Dienstes noch einfacher, da nun nur noch die VLC.exe gestartet werden muss um das Streamen zu starten.

Bei den Einstellungen unter &quot;Wiedergabeliste&quot; als &quot;Standardstream&quot; den Pfad zur Playlist eintragen. Das wars. Nun startet der Stream automatisch beim starten von VLC.

UPDATE vom 19.10.2010
So Leute, es ist soweit. Um etwaige Probleme bei der Einrichtung des Ganzen zu vermeiden habe ich endlich eine Setup-Anwendung erstellt. Das Ganze ist nun selbsterklaerend. Das Setup ist noch nicht perfekt und ich werde nun in kurzen Abstaenden neue Versionen veroeffentlichen. Das Setup erstellt keine Registry Eintraege und nimmt auch sonst keinerlei Aenderungen am System vor - es entpackt letztendlich nur den VLC Player mit den dazugehoerigen Einstellungen. Die Uninstall-Funktion entfernt das Programm komplett vom System. Also keine falsche Scheu smile ... Saemtliche weiteren Aenderungen werde ich nun in die Setup-Datei packen. Sobald eine neue Version verfuegbar ist, muss die alte zwanglaefig entfernt werden. Und nun viel Spass smile PS: Datei im Anhang!
An die Unix und MacOS user: Ich werde die Updates am Webinterface parallel hier veroeffentlichen. Dazu einfach die http.zip Datei laden.

The setup is not perfect and I will now publish new versions at short intervals. The setup creates no registry entries and also takes no other changes to the system before - it finally unpacked only the VLC player with the An adjacent settings. The uninstall function removes the program completely from the system. So do not shy smile ... All other changes I will now put it in the setup file. When a new version is available, the old ones removed zwanglaefig. Have fun smile PS file attached!

On the Unix and MacOS users: I'll publish the updates to the Web Interface parallel here. This can simply upload the file http.zip.
