There are no instructions but very helpful tool-tips. Just go with the mouse over a control element, and wait until they appear. (When the nerves start to Tool.Tips, they can turn off the Help menu)

Prerequisite:
- Box with multiple tuners (or the transmitter on the same transponder) are
- (May be VLC's several in the Finder just duplicate)

How to do:
- In the Stream Stream Tool a beliebingen channel VLC.
- Select a different channel in the list and select the menu: Edit / Copy
- Starting a new VLC and select File / Open Network
- Press the paste from the clipboard and open the URL
- Done

- VLC wird jetzt innerhalb von iDreamX ausgeführt. Daraus ergeben sich einige Vorteile:
- Es können jetzt mehrere Streams gleichzeitig gestartet werden. (nur enigma2)
(Man kann nun mehrere Kanäle betrachten und/oder auf Festplatte speichern)
- Beim "Streaming to Disk" kann jetzt die Dauer des Streams festgelegt werden.
- Beim Streamn zu VLC kann jetzt deinterlace und der deinterlace-Modus gesetzt werden.
(Preferences/Streaming/Stream to "VLC")
- In der Liste wird der Stream-Status der Kanäle mit entsprechenden Icons angezeigt.

Web Interface: neu hinzugefügt.
Das Web Interface erlaubt die Steuerung von iDreamX über einen Web-Browser. ("Safari", "Firefox", "Chrome", "Internet Explorer" e.t.c.)
Die Verbindung kann normal ([url]http://mac_IP:port[/url]) oder sicher ([url]https://mac_IP:port[/url]) aufgebaut werden.
Das Web Interface kann zur Zeit folgende Aufgaben übernehmen:
- Umschalten der Box und starten eines Netztwerk-Streams (TV & Radio)
- Anzeigen des Netzwerk-Streams im Browser. (VLC-Plugin muss hierfür installiert sein)
- Anzeigen des Bouquet-EPGs (z.Zt nur enigma1)
- Einstellung des Network-Streams (Audio- & Video Bitrate e.t.c.)
- Box Control: Standy, Restart Enigma, Reboot Box und Deep Sleep.

Movie-Tool:
- Man kann jetzt einen Film ins Netzwerk (auch ins Internet) streamen.
- Es können jetzt mehrere Movie-VLC-Streams gleichzeitig gestartet werden.
(Man kann nun mehrere Filme gleichzeitig betrachten )
- In der Liste wird der Stream-Status der Filme mit entsprechenden Icons angezeigt.
- Stream to VLC mit enigma1 Boxen erlaubt jetzt spulen und Positionssprünge.
(Siehe auch Preferences -> Movies -> "Allow scrubbing with VLC"
ACHTUNG: Falls das Movie aus mehreren Segmenten besteht, wird nur das erste Segment abgespielt.
- Download-Manager für Movies hinzugefügt
Mit Hilfe des Download-Managers werden Filme im Hintergrund heruntergeladen.
Es können jetzt beliebig viele Filme zum Download ausgewählt werden. Die Downloads werden dann nacheinander abgearbeitet.
· Der Download-Manager öffnet automatisch nach jedem Download-Start
· Manuell öffnet man ihn mit dem kleinen Knopf neben dem [Download] - Knopf. Keyboard Shortcut: [M] oder Menü: Tools/Download Manager
· Der Download-Manager bietet folgende Funktionen.
- Anzeige des Film-Namens.
- Anzeige der heruntergeladenden Mega Bytes.
- Anzeige der zu erwartenden Download-Zeit
- Anzeige des Download Fortschritts.
- Download abbrechen: Klick auf das runde Symbol mit 'X'
- Alle Downloads abbrechen: Klick auf das runde Symbol mit 'X' bei gedrückter [alt] - Taste
- Film im Finder anzeigen: Klick auf das runde Symbol mit der Lupe.
- Film mit VLC abspielen: Doppel-Klick auf das Movie-Icon.

GUI:
- Die Schriftgröße vieler Listen und Textfelder kann jetzt individuell eingestellt werden
( Menü/Edit/Textsize: [Command] + [+] und [Command] + [-] )

Dock Icon:
- Der Stream-Status wird jetzt im Dock-Icon reflektiert..

Dock Icon Menu:
- "Stop Network Stream" und "Activate/Deactivate Web Interface" hinzugefügt.

Bouqet-Tool:
- Keyboard shortcut [V] hinzugefügt (Stream to "VLC")
Der ausgewählte Kanal wird zu "VLC" gestreamt. (Bei enigma1 Boxen wird zuvor auf diesen Kanal umgeschaltet)
Hält man dabei die [SHIFT]-Taste gedrückt wird, der vorherige Stream nicht geschlossen,
sondern ein zusätzlicher geöffnet. (nur enigma2)
- im Kontext-Menü der "Bouquet Channels" Sort hinzugefügt. (Sortiert die Kanäle in alphabetischer Reihenfolge (a...z))
(Bei Aufruf mit gedrückter [alt]-Taste wird die Reihenfolge umgedreht (z...a)
- Das Hochladen der User Bouquets kann jetzt auch mit einem "Reboot" (enigma1) oder "Restart Enigma" (enigma2)
abgeschlossen werden. Einstellbar in Preferences/Bouquets
- Neue Keyboard-Shortcuts in "All Channels" hinzugefügt:
· [F] - Find Channel in User Bouquet. (Sucht den ausgewählten Kanal in den User Bouquets)
· [U] - Underline all used channels. (Unterstreicht alle verwendeten Kanäle)
· [SHIFT] + [U] - Undo underline all used channels. (Kein Kanal wird Unterstrichen)
· [S] - Select all unused channels. (Selektiert alle nicht verwendeten Kanäle)

FTP-Tool:
- Nach erneutem Aufruf des Tools wird der zuletzt verwendete Pfad aufgerufen.
- Text Dateien können jetzt auch mit dem Programm "TextEdit" bearbeitet werden.
(Kann in den Preferences/Other eingestellt werden)

Quick Control: neu hinzugefügt
Öffnet und schließt von jedem Tab aus mit [ctrl] + [alt]
Dies ist für alle, die mit einem Mac vor dem Fernseher sitzen und auf die Schnell die Box kontrollieren müssen.
Folgende Funktionen sind möglich:
- volume adjust
- toggle mute
- toggle standby
- start timeshift (nur enigma2)

Preferences:
- Die Preferences wurden in mehrere Tabs aufgeteilt: Boxes - General - Bouquets - Streaming - FTP · Web Interface
- Im Menü/File den Menüpunkt "New Box" hinzugefügt.
(Erstellt ein neues Box-Profil)
- "Box Network Type" hinzugefügt
· Local (Box ist mit dem lokalen Netzwerk verbunden)
· Internet (Box ist über das Internet verbunden)

Bug Fixes:
- Auto-Update funktioniert jetzt auch bei ausgeschalteter Box.
- Das Einlesen von Settings mit sehr vielen Sendern, Bouquets und Satelliten ist jetzt zuverlässiger.
- Das globale Suchen in EPGs funktioniert jetzt auch mit Umlauten und Sonderzeichen.
- Diverse kleinere Fehler behoben.

FTP - Tool:
 - Das FTP-Tool lässt sich jetzt in bis zu vier Tabs unterteilen.
 Â· Die Tabs können unterschiedliche Pfade verwalten.
 Â· Tab hinzufügen:
 Menü -> File -> "New Tab" oder auf

• (ganz rechts in der Tab-Leiste) klicken.

· Tab entfernen:
Menü -> File -> "Close Tab" oder links auf das Schließsymbol des entsprechenden Tabs klicken.
 Â· Mit der [Tab] - Taste kann mann zwischen den Tabs navigieren.
 Â· Dateien können aus der Liste, per Drag & Drop in einen Tab verschoben werden. (Nach oben in die Tab-Leiste verschieben)
 - ACHTUNG: Befindet sich eine Datei mit gleichem Namen im Zielverzeichnis, wird sie überschrieben.
 - Dateien können nur innerhalb eines Mediums verschoben werden (vom Flash nach HDD ist z.B. nicht möglich)
 Â· Dateien können vom Finder direkt in ein Tab (oder in die Liste) gelegt werden, um sie hochzuladen.
 - Vor dem Verschieben von Dateien (innerhalb der Box) wird eine Warnmeldung ausgegeben.
 Diese Warnmeldung ist in Preferences -> FTP, abschaltbar. ("Ask before moving files")
 Hier noch zwei Tips zur Bedienung der Tabs:
 - Wenn beim Hinzufügen eines Tabs, ein Ordner ausgewählt ist, bekommt das neue Tab dessen Pfad.
 - Wenn ein Ordner ausgewählt ist und man dann, mit gedrückter [alt]-Taste, auf ein anderes Tab klickt, übernimmt
 dieser Tab den Pfad des ausgewählten Ordners.

 - Text Dokumente können jetzt mit jedem skriptfähigem Text-Editor erstellt- und bearbeitet werden. (z.B. TextWrangler, BBEdit...)
 (Der Text-Editor kann in Preferences -> FTP gewählt werden)
 
Telnet - Tool:
 - Im Ausgabe-Feld werden jetzt die Farb-Steuerzeichen verarbeitet, so dass die Ausgabe nun übersichtlicher ist.
 - Das Telnet-Tool hat jetzt eine Suchfunktion, mit der man Text im Ausgabe-Fenster finden kann.
 Menü -> Edit -> "Find..." und Menü -> Edit -> "Find Next"
 - Das Telnet Fast Menü hat jetzt einen eigenen Editor in dem die Menüeinträge bearbeitet werden können.
 Der Editor wird im Telnet Fast Menu aufgerufen durch: "Edit Menu..." Der Editor hat folgende Funktionen:
 - Telnet Kommando bearbeiten: Doppelklick auf Kommando
 - Telnet Kommando(s) entfernen: Tastatur [Backspace] / [Delete] oder Knopf [-]
 - Telnet Kommando hinzufügen: Knopf

- Reihenfolge ändern mit Drag & Drop

 Dies kann abgeschaltet werden in: Preferences -> EPG -> "Show short description in EPG list"
 
Quick Box Control:
 - Knopf [Others] hinzugefügt. Dieser Knopf öffnet ein Menü mit folgenden Optionen:
 Â· Restart Enigma...
 Â· Reboot Box...
 Â· Deep Sleep...
 Â· Record (nur aktiv wen die Box nicht im Standby ist)
 Â· Start recording (Enigma1)
 Â· Stop recording (Enigma1)
 Â· Record current event (Enigma2)
 Â· Record infinite(10h) (Enigma2)
 Um so eine Aufnahme zu stoppen, muss der, dafür erstellte Timer gelöscht werden.
 
Control - Tool:
 - OSD-Shots werden mit: Menü - > "Save As..." jetzt im PNG-Format mit Alpha-Kanal abgespeichert. (nur enigma2)
 
Preferences:
 - In Preferences -> "Boxes" kann man jetzt auch "VU+" als Box Typ wählen. (Popup-Menü unter der Liste)
 Dadurch wird im Control-Tool und im Quick Control-Tool die Fernbedienung der VU+ angezeigt.
 (Eine automatische Erkennung der "VU+" Boxen ist zur Zeit leider nicht möglich)
 - In Preferences -> "Boxes" kann man jetzt die Box-Profile exportieren und importieren.
 Menü -> File -> "Export Box Profiles..." und Menü -> File -> "Import Box Profiles..."
 Damit werden die Einstellungen aller Boxen gesichert und lassen sich bei Bedarf wieder laden.
 

Bug Fixes:
 - nmap wird jetzt von iDreamX entzipt, da es mit der ursprünglichen Metode, bei einigen Usern zu Problemen kam.
- Das Quick Control Fenster öffnet jetzt auch bei aktivierter [Feststelltaste] (Caps-Lock)
 - iDreamX stürzt jetzt nicht mehr ab, wenn man ein Telnet-Fenster schließt.
 - Stream to VLC funktioniert jetzt wieder mit Kathrein Receivern
