Having now tried unsuccessfully for months a developer of the Source Forge project for the Dreambox settings editor DreamBoxEdit have reached, I decided to make some changes themselves.
The project apparently no one seems to care more about there ...

What was fixed in since version 3.0.0.0:
- The display of the FEC in the editor and main window has been the missing values for extended FEC DVB-S2.
- The editor now works again satellites.xml

Satellite Finder Tool:
- Added new. (Menu: Tools / Sat Finder) Displays the following values:
• SNR (Signal to Noise) = signal to noise ratio
• AGC (Automatic Gain Control) = Automatic Gain Control
• be BER (Bit Error Rate) = bit error rate (must be always 0)
- Big Screen
The values appear very large (for ease of adjusting the satellite dish
(Will click through to the [SNR shown] button)

Save time shift tool (only enigma2)
- In the tool menu, added.
(Saves the current time-shift recording in a movie directory)

Plugin-tool (only enigma2)
- In the Tool menu and the Control-Tab added.
(Easy to install enigma2 plugins)

Control Tool
- [Record] - Button added.
Enigma1:
"Start Recording" (Starts recording open-ended)
"Stop Recording" (Ends the recording)
enigma2:
"Record current event" (Starts recording the current program)
"Record invinite (10h)" (Starts recording for ten hours)
(To be deleted premature stop the recording, the corresponding timer entry)

Movie Tool:
- In the context menu: "Zap box" added
(The selected movie starts on the box)
- Keyboard Shortcut added:
• [R] - Movie-List Reload

Telnet Tool:
- Added [Execute] button.
(Run the command in the input field - has the same function as the [Return] key)
- Button: [start Telnet] added a context menu
· "Start telnet session"
· "Start telnet session in Terminal"
· "Open new window telnet"
· "Start FTP session"
- GUI redesigned

EPG Tool:
- Button: added [Similar] (only enigma2)
(Looks for similar items as those selected in the EPG list)

FTP-Tool:
- Keyboard shortcuts added:
[Z] - The selected movie or audio file is played from the box.
[V] - streams selected movie or audio file to "VLC"
[Q] - Finished "VLC"
[C] - Copies the path of the selected file or folder to the clipboard.
(This makes it easier to create symlinks)

Menu: Help
- Menu item "Help ..." activated.
Shows the tooltip of the selected list in a separate window.

Stream Tool:
- Simplified some type of operation.
Enigma1:
Button: [to VLC] streams the current channel on the box to "VLC"
(Runs a "streaming to disc" then this button causes a playing of the stream file)
Keyboard: has [V] the same function as the [to VLC] knob.
Button: [to disc] starts a "streaming to disc" of the current channel on the box. (Recording the program on the Mac hard drive)
(Already runs a "streaming to disc", then the streaming (the recording) completed)
Keyboard: [D] has the same function as the [to Disk] button.

enigma2:
Button: [to VLC] streams the current channel on the box to "VLC"
(Already runs a "streaming to disc" then this button causes the playing of the stream file)
Keyboard: [V] streams the selected channel in the list to "VLC"
(running with the station a "streaming to disc", "VLC player" from the stream file)
Button: [to disc] starts a "streaming to disc" of the current channel on the box. (Recording the program on the Mac hard drive)
(Runs a "streaming to disc", then the streaming (the recording) completed)
Keyboard: [D] start a "streaming to disc" in the list of the selected channel.
(Already runs a "streaming to disc", then the streaming (the recording) completed)

-It can therefore be used up to three channels:
One runs on the television, one is with "VLC" and a third stored on the Mac's hard drive.
(It may even still be recorded by other stations of the box)
- NOTE:
What channels can be used simultaneously, however, is limited.
A click on the button: [playable] shows the usable channels in the list.

Bug Fixes:
- Incompatibility with OSX 10.4 (Tiger) fixed.
- After deleting a movie in the Movie tool now's the movie list is displayed.
- Fixed some minor bugs.

Note:
- There have been several changes have in the program keyboard shortcuts and context menus.
