By 2015, 78 million TV sets sold 3D
By 2015, the number of 3D TVs sold is projected at 78 million. It is estimated that in 2010 the figure will be 4.2 million. Profits from sales in 2015 will amount to up to 63.3 million dollars (in 2010, is supposed to be about 7.4 million dollars). Similarly to the price of 3D television by 2015 it will be half the current amount to be paid for the TV.
Other data say that 2010 years total sales of televisions to allow reception of 3D television will be 1.2 million. It is estimated that in 2013 it will have 15.6 million. Recent studies show that TVs with LED backlight and LCD 240 Hz will be the basis for the development of television in 2010.
3D-ready receivers will grow from 0.2 million in 2009 to 64 million in 2018.
