CT HD frequency changes by satellite Astra 23.5 E

CT HD, a program of Czech Television (CT) in high definition (HDTV), in the coming months likely change the frequency. The reason is the planned transition to a new telecommunications satellite Astra 3B.

Astra 3B will replace the existing two satellites and Astra 1E Astra 1G. Besides the exchange of satellites will be minimal changes in frequencies. Realignment concerns only two Czech stations - TV Ocko and CT HD. The first of them (Ã"čko) has already started the transition to a new transponder broadcasts parallel to the old and new frequency. Expect a similar move and CT HD.

Reason for changing frequencies of these two stations, the frequency plan Astra 3B. 3B has a new satellite frequency range from 11.4 to 12.75 GHz and therefore can not transmit on frequencies in the band 10.7 to 10.95 GHz, which currently uses the outgoing Astra 1E satellite.

Astra 3B will be passed on 24.3.2010 Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana.
