SMiT secures Russian client

SMiT CI module for ER TelecomState Micro Technology Corporation (SMiT) has supplied a new secure $$$$$ chipset pairing Conditional Access Module (CAM) to the Russian cable operator ER-Telecom.

It will be used to help ER-Telecom expand its HD services, branded as Divan-TV PLUS, which was launched earlier this year.

ER-Telecom operates in 25 Russian cities, providing cable TV (Divan TV), internet (Dom.ru) and telephony (Gorsvyaz) services by means of the Urban Universal Telecom Network, which employs FTTH technology.

SMiT is a leading provider of security platform products that enable secure distribution and delivery of digital entertainment content.
