Aster goes down thematic route

The Polish cable operator Aster has announced a major reorganisation of its programme offer.

It has moved six channels â€" Kino Polska, Universal Channel, Viva Polska, Sport Klub, TV5 Monde and BBC Entertainment â€" hitherto available on analogue to its Basic PLUSdigital package.

It has also reorganized its offer, and numbering, into nine distinct thematic packages. These are premium/ HD;general/information; movies; science; lifestyle; kids; music; and international.

Aster is the fourth largest cable operator in Poland and is present in Warsaw, Kraków and Zielona Góra.
