FCC Grants Cobham License for Ku-band Antenna


Cobham Satcom’s 24-inch marine-stabilized antenna USAT 24 has received a full accreditation license from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Cobham announced Feb. 19.

The license was granted following the completion of on-satellite testing, via the Intelsat network, to ensure USAT 24’s compliance with FCC Earth station regulations.
USAT 24 aims to provide broadband Ku-band connectivity in SCPC or TDMA networks for small- to mid-sized yachts in the leisure and commercial markets.
