EU wants to sort of energy consumption by televisions

The European Union (EU) is finalizing the preparation of legislation that affects the sale of televisions. You will need to have a visible label that describes the energy level in the category from A to G. Then, as we now have in the case of refrigerators, washing machines and light bulbs.

Designation will include plasma, LCD, vacuum and conventional CRT TVs. It is clear that for inclusion in category A will be the biggest challenge for some energy-intensive plasma. But they will not ban the production and sales.

Manufacturers now offer you race ahead in the most fuel efficient technologies and thrive in this segment and the latest technology to manufacturers of plasma TVs.

The European ecological limits will be difficult for manufacturers of LCD televisions, and especially modern displays with LED backlight, which have less power than LCD TV.

It is questionable whether the designation of energy intensity will affect the sales of these devices. Opinions on it but different.
