GefenTV 1:8 multi-format video distribution over Ethernet integrates legacy sources and distributes video up to 330 feet

The GefenTV 1:8 Multi-Format Video Distribution over Ethernet is ideal for digital signage applications using computers and legacy sources to drive content. This resourceful product offers two different methods of audio/video extension and distribution to eight locations, giving users an edge when implementing digital signage in the field.

The system uses small sender and receiver units placed at the source and the extended display location(s). Four sources can be connected to the sender using s-video, composite, component and VGA inputs with stereo audio. The selected source is output as VGA or component video with audio, delivered to eight different locations using one CAT-5 cable per location. Additional receivers can also be cascaded to create a larger distribution.

The product can also be integrated into an Ethernet system to deliver the source to any location on the network using standard 100BaseT. Both methods of extension deliver resolutions up to 720p or 1280x1024 up to a maximum distance up to 330 feet (100m), well within the limits of most digital signage installations today.
