Russia issuing licences for international channel

Russian TV licensing authority Roskomnadzor is issuing licences to international channels, according to local reports. The regulatory body is keen to establish a legitimate licensing procedure to avoid the problem of international channels being transmitted without a licence. The Russian reports said that Discovery, Viasat, Hallmark, Jetix and Fashion TV have been awarded licences.
