Eutelsat will be talking about the upcoming launches of their W3B and KA-SAT satellites at SMi’s upcoming conference Oil and Gas Satcoms held in London, UK on the 24 â€" 25 March 2010. W3B will be located at 16 degrees East and is scheduled for launch in mid 2010. W3B will offer additional capacity over Europe, Middle East and Sub- Saharan Africa. KA-SAT is scheduled for launch in Q3 2010. It will be configured with over 80 ka-band spotbeams, making it the most advanced multi-spot satellite designed in the world to date. The satellite will form the cornerstone of a major new satellite infrastructure programme that will significantly expand capacity for consumer broadband services across Europe and the Mediterranean Basin
