Okay, hopefully the thread title drew your attention to here.

If it did im Sly. 18, from Australia. (tl;dr read last paragraph)

I am completely new to this, i stumbled across the decryption of pay TV a few days ago and have been intrigued ever since. For the past few days ive been looking up how to modify smart-cards to decrypt the $$$ videoguard encryption, i have knowledge in editing smart cards to do things they are not meant to do, but apparently i was taking the wrong approach to finding a way to beat the system.

From what ive seen here most of the stuff works off software emulation, which is awesome, but i have no idea of how to work it . I have basic skills in custom firmware and plugins for games systems (to bypass the security so i can play pirated games =P).

I'm really quite interested, and willing to help out once i get to understand how it works. Could someone point me in the way of any really good tutorials? I clicked on a few tutorial threads but they were blank? Anyway, i plan on going to a local technology market where i will hopefully find someone who can tell me how and what to do. Mainly looking for ways to get access to Foxtel.

Also thanks for looking.
