BBC1 is marking the 50th anniversary
BBC1 is marking the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Swinging Sixties with a week-long series of factual programmes and an original drama series.

Drama The Indian Doctor (working title) stars Sanjeev Bhaskar and tells the story of a doctor who moves from the sub-continent to the UK.

Meanwhile, factual series Rewind The 60s (working title) explores the social changes and major news events that took place in the decade. BBC Daytime controller Liam Keelan commissioned both programmes.
