Hi,

to update the Opticum X403p receiver I chose the USB update of Software (SW) + Bootloader (BTLD).
I used the file "Opticum_X402p-403p_AMIKO_SHD-7900-8000_1.1.54_emu_by dreamer1983" out of the web
to change the standard Conex to a Cryptoworks module, make it operating with ORF, like this version was promising.
The update process passed completely.

But with this version some s... happend:

After the update process and restart of the receiver I could only find an "on" in the display and
a startup screen with clouds in background and "HD TV" text on it. After some seconds the screen switches to black.
If I press on the menu button the screen changes to blue and black again if I press the same button again.

Because of this bad behaviour which makes the receiver not usable any more I tried to bring another update over
RS232 tool onto the receiver but the tool could not establish any connection.

Do you know any other possibility to flash a working image (abs!?) onto the receiver?

What to take care about if trying "upgrade" versions out of the web? Shouldn't it be possible to get back to a stable version
even if flashing a corrupt or not working SW version?

Happy new year and lets hope for some good advise to reanimate the X403p receiver...
