Thanks for this. There is nothing really I can say but that when i'm watching a hd channel the box just freezes. the only way to remedy this is by powering off at the back. Some times it will be fine for maybe half hour the back and then it just freezes. turn it off at the back, put it on and then maybe 5 mins later it freezes. its quite random. I tried a few different hd channels, sport, cartoons, regular programmes. Didnt matter.
The remote is not very good also, you have to be in front of the box for it to work. I have a philips universal remote with a learn feature so i use that instead.
The ac3 problem dosent affect me,cause i've an amp. Good to know the reason for it though. Hopefully the freezing can be fixed because its a great little box for the price

The box I have here crashes on any HD channel, it can last hours or minutes.
AC3 audio is a right pain, a lot of HD channels I watch only have AC3 or the other audio channel has audio description too.
Whats the point of having a HD box with a HDMI connection that you can't use?

On a side note Cccam does crash or disconnect, I get scrambled message at random times and it's not the server.

Thanks for your replies all the imformation you post will be sent to the factory and i will keep you all posted with any replies i get.

This is the reply i have already received about the sound problem word for word..

For the HD channels with no sound, if the HD channel's Audio is AC3, your receiver must have no sound.
Because you need to pay license fee to Dolly company.and Dolly company check strictly,
if you don't pay, they will shield this function.
For the solutions have the followings:
1. For HD channels, besides AC3, there are also MPEG format's PID audio,if it is MPEG format's
PID, you only need to press "AUDIO" key on the remote countrol.
When you do it, the sound is available.
2. If the HD channels's Auduo is AC3, you must use coaxial out to Amplifier.
It is digital audio out.Our STB back has S-PDIF out, so you need to use coaxial cable to connect to A Aplifier.
3. we pay the license for Dolly.this fee is too big, we will think it in the future when the quantities is big.The fee is more than USD1,000,000. This solution doesn't work now.
Pls kindly understand.Thanks.

if you select a movie whaich has mpeg sound it does stream audio description which is very annoying, the problem im having is trying to explain what this means to the people in china al capone

On this box, no "SAT" key to choose satellite. We must change the satellite one by one.
It would be better if you can provide a key that can choose satellite directly.

Thanks

Before It's scrambled, NG HD on asiasat 5 was freezing with TV system / TV format set to 720 & 1080, but I've change to 576 NG HD not freezing.

Try change to change 576 TV format, on cashing HD channel.

OK but is it your own server your connected to or are you connected to someone elses server? i have 3 mates testing the solomend firmware and all three have said it hasnt crashed once, they are all connected to a linux dedicated cccam server which has approx 20 active clients.
Can we also clarify when you say its still crashing do you mean you have to switch the box off to make it work again or do you mean your getting picture freeze or pixellation which sorts its self out?

its a linux cccam server and the box just freezes on hd channels and i have to turn it off at the back to get going again. I also have a spider box and have no problems with that
edit: I've just tested it again there by leaving it on sky sports 1 HD. Box crashed after 20 mins. I've now left it on sky premier SD and not a problem.
