Hi have bought one of these to try and i have spent all evening trying to get cccam to work.
I have a small linux debian server that i share my nds card with 3 dreamboxes in the house and a couple of mates who live locally. It is showing up on the server and it says it is active but it will not show premium channels, just says scrambled on the screen. Has anyone actually got this to work on a card share server? 4fvgdaq_th

That got CCcam working for me, thanks. tooo

CCcam version 2.1.3 is included in the image.

HD channels look great but they do keep stopping with "[ i ] scrambled" message, same channels work fine on a DM800HD box.

AC3 audio not sending down HDMI cable is a pain also.

EDIT:
The scrambled message was down to the CCcam server trying to load balance with a non HD card, works fine now.
A lot better than the dm800 to be honest, that still breaks up - crappy tuner.

Can you please tell me what this new firmware has thats different?'
Or better still were you are getting it from so we can find out. The reason i ask is i spent nearly 7 hours sorting all the channels out and im a bit reluctant to lose it all by flashing a new firmware on the box..
Does anyone know which software i can use to edit the logo screen please?
Thanks

Title: Re: SatHawk / Solomend HD PVR 800
Post by: judasonline on May 20, 2010, 04:02:34 PM
I am currently working with a factory in china who have been making this box not sure if the are the orignal makers or making a copy of it. anyway i am trying to find out what problems people are having with the boxes, i can then forward the info to the engineers who will then hopefully be able to sort out some type of fix.
The main problems i have noticed and a few people i have bought boxes for are as follows.
The constant freezing on HD channels or the box crashing whilst using the remote.
The problems with no sound on certain AC3 HD Channels
Epg problem (Doesn't display the channels or if it does show them it is random)
The badly made remote control. (Which has now been replaced on the latest batch of boxes)

The first problem the engineers are trying to sort out is the crashing and picture freezing, if people can give me some feedback about what they are watching when it happens or what they were doing, i can then forward the info on.

The next issue of no sound on certain channels has been explained to me by the engineers, the box does not have a full dolby licence as it would cost too much money to purchase, this is the reason certain TV sets are not getting sound on channels which are streaming only AC3 audio. the solution for this problem is using the spdif port through an amplifier. I was lucky that my tv does decode ac3 so i do get sound on all the channels. my tv is only a few months old though.
Title: Re: SatHawk / Solomend HD PVR 800
Post by: hooley on May 20, 2010, 04:14:29 PM
Thanks for this. There is nothing really I can say but that when i'm watching a hd channel the box just freezes. the only way to remedy this is by powering off at the back. Some times it will be fine for maybe half hour the back and then it just freezes. turn it off at the back, put it on and then maybe 5 mins later it freezes. its quite random. I tried a few different hd channels, sport, cartoons, regular programmes. Didnt matter.
The remote is not very good also, you have to be in front of the box for it to work. I have a philips universal remote with a learn feature so i use that instead.
The ac3 problem dosent affect me,cause i've an amp. Good to know the reason for it though. Hopefully the freezing can be fixed because its a great little box for the price
Title: Re: SatHawk / Solomend HD PVR 800
Post by: ibcus on May 20, 2010, 04:46:13 PM
The box I have here crashes on any HD channel, it can last hours or minutes.
AC3 audio is a right pain, a lot of HD channels I watch only have AC3 or the other audio channel has audio description too.
Whats the point of having a HD box with a HDMI connection that you can't use?

On a side note Cccam does crash or disconnect, I get scrambled message at random times and it's not the server.

Thanks for your replies all the imformation you post will be sent to the factory and i will keep you all posted with any replies i get.

This is the reply i have already received about the sound problem word for word..

For the HD channels with no sound, if the HD channel's Audio is AC3, your receiver must have no sound.
Because you need to pay license fee to Dolly company.and Dolly company check strictly,
if you don't pay, they will shield this function.
For the solutions have the followings:
1. For HD channels, besides AC3, there are also MPEG format's PID audio,if it is MPEG format's
PID, you only need to press "AUDIO" key on the remote countrol.
When you do it, the sound is available.
2. If the HD channels's Auduo is AC3, you must use coaxial out to Amplifier.
It is digital audio out.Our STB back has S-PDIF out, so you need to use coaxial cable to connect to A Aplifier.
3. we pay the license for Dolly.this fee is too big, we will think it in the future when the quantities is big.The fee is more than USD1,000,000. This solution doesn't work now.
Pls kindly understand.Thanks.

if you select a movie whaich has mpeg sound it does stream audio description which is very annoying, the problem im having is trying to explain what this means to the people in china al capone

I need your comments to pass on to the engineers working on the software..

On this box, no "SAT" key to choose satellite. We must change the satellite one by one.
It would be better if you can provide a key that can choose satellite directly.

Thanks

OK but is it your own server your connected to or are you connected to someone elses server? i have 3 mates testing the solomend firmware and all three have said it hasnt crashed once, they are all connected to a linux dedicated cccam server which has approx 20 active clients.
Can we also clarify when you say its still crashing do you mean you have to switch the box off to make it work again or do you mean your getting picture freeze or pixellation which sorts its self out?
Title: Re: SatHawk / Solomend HD PVR 800
Post by: hooley on May 31, 2010, 12:07:13 PM
its a linux cccam server and the box just freezes on hd channels and i have to turn it off at the back to get going again. I also have a spider box and have no problems with that
edit: I've just tested it again there by leaving it on sky sports 1 HD. Box crashed after 20 mins. I've now left it on sky premier SD and not a problem.

Thanks for the reply, i have still not had any crashing or freezing on any of the tests i have performed with this firmware and its now been on for over 3 days all ok.

hooley can you please check to make sure you have flashed the correct firmware onto the box. what version is showing in the information screen?

The reason i ask is a mate of mine backed up his settings for his channels then flashed the new firmware, everthing was ok but then he tried to reinstall his channels again from his backup and accidently intalled the old firmware again, which obviously caused his box to crash again..

Ok just checking, i can't understand why your box is still crashing with this firmware. Do you know if your server is stable, the reason i ask is i have a dreambox 800 and its been glitching quite a bit this weekend on some of the HD channels mostly channel 4 Hd and sky sports 1 Hd that server only has 8 clients so i can't work out if its something sly are doing or if its a problem with the server. Not had problems with it before..

Still crashing for me on HD channels using a linux dedicated cccam server, dreambox 800HD is fine on same router/server.
Both boxes on at same time hooked up to different sat dishes.

I'm wondering if it looses connection for a moment from the server is cccam crashing and taking the box with it?

However it will not be free. There is a small charge to enable the boxes to decode the ac3 signal.

Most of the fixes they are currently working on are regards to the freezing and glitching problems that people have been complaining about. As they have purchased the dolby licence they can now add ac3 sound to the boxes, keep checking here for more news...

great
can you mention about the channel immediately changing when you skip through satellites in the channel menu, this is very annoying as the channel list is quite poor so there will always be scrolling through when you have 15+ satellites to choose from, it should only change when you press Ok like when you scroll up/down

Also mention that in the latest firmware (NM_HDS2_CMT_1006180413), on the composite output at least, PAL output looks fine, but NTSC output is tinted to the green side. The firmware before that, NTSC looked the same as PAL.

Ok Latest news about the solomend boxes is as follows.
The firmware i uploaded has to be flashed to the box before the ac3 problem can be fixed.
Next you need to go the the information screen in the menu and write down all the information on that screen Mac address, Machine, NC, Version.
This information then needs to be sent to the person you purchased the box from.
They then forward this to the factory. The factory then make you a firmware file for your box which is made from the information you supply so please make sure you get it correct.
You then upload this file to your box and the ac3 problem is then fixed. As i said before the factory will charge you a small fee upto $5.00 for doing this.

Ariva 200 clones

Azbox S900HD (firmware tested on arivia200 - works fine )
Edision argus mini IP
Vizyon 10000
Megasat HD 800
SatHawk PVR800
Edision vip
Edision vip 2

Does anyone know if we could use the firmware from Azbox S900HD for our mad box? Really need the working Emu with code menu. Or ftp loads would be the same great.

yes there is a serial loader for it attached, you will need a null modem cable, connect it to your pc, start the software and choose the firmware file, as soon as you press next (for it to start looking for the box) turn the receiver on and it should sync and upload the firmware

As he says start program and select firmware, click next.
Turn box on, it should say it is synced but say under that something about restarting the box, DONT.. just leave it, wait and it will continue.

Has anyone noticed that some S*y Sports channels make the box reboot then get stuck in a rebooting loop if you try to change channel or access the menu?

Today is the first time I have really played with the box and it drove me nuts, you simply have to unplug your sat feed and you can access the menu and change channel. Very strange.

Here is a dump I took today (using NM_HDS2_CMT_1007120293.abs) with the offending channels removed, 7 groups of favourites but you will probably have to rename them from fav 1, fav 2 etc. For some reason it doesn't save that.

Favorites are:
Entertainment
Movies
HD Channels
Factual
Kids
Music
Sports

Not perfect but it's a start.

This is 28.2e Only.

Hi. Newcomer reading hard now but if someone has suggestions here they would be appreciated...
I am trying to figure out the cccam on my Openbox s9. I understand this is a kind of cam that can be used with keys,cs and the card reader installed in the receiver. First I use a original Conax card, but it is not working, I guess there are settings somewhere, but I only find the frequency setting for the cam.
Second I would like to use keys for any interesting channels, I have read some guides and probably its me but I do not understand how to config and update the cccam.
I often see that they are written for the dreambox, the folders on the Openbox I cannot find.
I do not use any cs, think that if I get some more channels working this will be more than ok. Especially Dis*****y, not sure if it is possible any more.

Q.can not make it work, I tried DCC and Total Comander with no joy.
my router is O2 box2and I use LAN cable.I type in receiver's IP and use "root" as username, password blank...
is anyone else come across similar problems?

and this is exact answer by one of the V.I.P member:

A.that is not linux or open source

you use usb pens to load software and edite configurations.

a pen or the romote control, no ftp possible

hope it helps 2cz8s9j

get c-lines from any cs server, they will send you cccam.cfg file, open it with notepad leave just c-lines,delete the rest, save it

then copy it to USB ,isert USB drive into usb port on your stb, then

menu-NETWORK LOCAL SETTING-CCCAM PLUG SETTINGS-UPDATE FILES BY USB-CCCAM.CFG OK-UPDATE(yellow button).

then you have to activate your accounts

menu-NETWORK LOCAL SETTING -CCCAM PLUG SETTINGS-MANAGE CONFG FILES-CCCAM.CFG-ACTIVATE(green button)-exit-exit-NETWORK LOCAL SETTINGS OK-make sure DHCP ON then click apply-exit-exsit-exsit

serg1791 As about Dre Crypt
Title: Re: SatHawk / Solomend HD PVR 800
Post by: serg1791 on September 03, 2010, 04:18:29 PM
Dre Crypt - a proprietary system of signal encoding used by Russian operator "Tricolor TV". In common parlance ispulzuyutsya as an abbreviation Z-Crypt (aka Dre-Crypt, DRECrypt).

To receive a signal Tricolor TV requires a receiver with a built-in access DRE-Crypt or receiver with a special slot for access module (Common Interface - CI) and the access module DRE-CRYPT with the smart card.

Receivers with built-in access DRE-Crypt:
• Digiraum Electronics DRE-4000
• Digiraum Electronics DRE-5000
• GS DRE-7300

whats new in this firmware?
This is what I could determine:

Features added:

Channel info bar seen when changing channels and when pressing "INFO" the first time now includes a progress bar for EPG data loading on the current channel.

Pressing "INFO" twice now brings up an enhanced EPG for the current channel with times, titles and program descriptions, as well as video, audio, and PCR PIDS and SID.

A third press of the "INFO" button gives the usual Channel, Satellite, Transponder, PID, Signal Intensity and Signal Quality indicators.

The CA Slot Setting menu now includes a selection to "Edit BOXID".

Go to Menu->Tools->Dump By USB->Start and select everything for the Dump Image then press yellow button. This will back up your current settings and channel list into a file called HDS2_DUMP.abs that you can reload in case you want to go back to what you are running currently.

Next you can change the Dump Mode to Misc Files and select everything under Dump Misc Files. This dumps everything except settings (which may have changes from the last firmware version).

Then you go back to the Tools menu and select Upgrade By USB. Choose the new firmware file; load it; and flash.

After rebooting, go to the Upgrade By USB menu and change Upgrade Mode to Misc Files. Choose Start and select all Add Files To Upgrade then press yellow button. When complete, press power button once to turn off receiver and then again to reboot. You will now have to redo your settings in System Setup.

Enjoy!

Favorites are:
Entertainment
Movies
HD Channels
Factual
Kids
Music
Sports

Forgot to say this is for 28.2e

yes ac3 works well but AAC doesn't unfortunately but here all most all leading providers using only AAC for the audio ..so still i m very much unlucky with this box for such providers! al capone

The newfirmare has been released for France HD channel.
Edit the replace.list X: { { 1811 } { 0100 } }
Copy the replace.list file to usb and update it by mgcamd.
it works on France HD.
If people has any cccam bugs, please record the stream in scrambled mode , and upload to internet, email to me , I will contract with the manufactory.
I will solve it quickly and email back to you. my email is [email protected]

Here's an example, it's used those keys to guatemala mux in intelsat 805

Mux Guatemala

2600:000000:0096:009D:1FFF::F3 71 13 77 37 11 13 5B F3 71 13 77 37 11 13 5B

2600 = CAID = BISS
0000000 = Provider ID
0096 = System ID = SID
009D = PMT ID
1FFF = ECM PID = IDENT

KEY EVEN F3 71 13 77 37 11 13 5B
KEY ODD F3 71 13 77 37 11 13 5B

If you record a few seconds of the encoded channel, convert this with ARIVA_TS for TS format and then open with projectx, you can get the SID and PMT. All the CAID for BISS are 2600 because that's the number that means this encoding type.

I think all provider ID are 0000000 and the IDENT are 1FFF. At least all the biss channels i saw were this way.
