Jednostavan tweak će vam pomoći da smanjite vreme podizanja Windowsa 7. Ovih dana većina računala ima dual core ili quad core ili neÅ¡to bolje od toga procesora.

* * Pritisnite [Win] + R ili preko RUN opcije iz Start menia.
* * Sada upiÅ¡ite msconfig i lupite Enter, otvorice se prozor System Configuration. Kliknite na Boot tab.
* * Primeti ćete okvir pod nazivom Time out. Ovo je vreme (u sekundama) koje sistem čeka da korisnik izabere operativni sistem.
* * Ako koristite samo jedanoperativni sistem (ne dualboot) moÅ¾ete sigurno postaviti vrednost na 0.
* * Ali, ako imate viÅ¡e od jednog operativnog sistema onda ga postavite na 3 ili viÅ¡e.
* * Sada nakon gore navedenog koraka kliknite na "Advanced Options" gumb. Advanced Boot Options prozor otvori ce se.
* * Potvrdite okvir govoreći: "Number of processors". Sada kliknite na drop-down box, a zatim odaberite maksimalni broj procesorskih jezgara (moÅ¾e biti 2 ili viÅ¡e).
* * Pritisnite "OK" i označite "No GUI Boot".
* * Kliknite na "Apply" i zatim na "OK" i gotovo.

Hereâ€™s a neat Windows 7 trick thatâ€™s been doing the rounds on the Internet. It enables â€œGodMode,â€
a term devised by the Microsoft development team,
which provides a single place to access all Windows settings without needing to browse options and folders in the Control Panel.

To use it:

1. Create a new folder.

(note that you can change the â€œGodModeâ€ text, but the following period and code number are essential).

Windows 7 već nudi poprilično ubrzanje u odnosu na Vistu, a mi vam nudimo jos nekoliko savjeta da taj OS učinite jos brzim. Ovi savjeti će biti posebno korisni vlasnicima malo starijih računala za koje je novi operativni sustav malo prevelik zalogaj.

Isključite indeksirano pretrazivanje

Desnim klikom na ikonu Computer izaberite Manage, zatim kliknite na Service and Applications. Nakon toga kliknite na Services. Pronađite stavku Windows Search, desno kliknite na nju i odaberite Properties. Na ekranu koji se pojavio morate onesposobiti (disable) stavku Startup type. Klinite Apply i zatvorite sve prozore.

Indeksirano pretrazivanje stalno prati određene datoteke i tako u vrlo kratkom vremenu daje rezultate. Ne koristite li često funkciju pretrazivanja, nećete ni osjetiti da ste isključili indeksiranje.

Isključite Aero

Desnim klikom na ikonu Computer izaberite Properties, a zatim Advanced System Settings da se otvori prozor System Properties. Na tabu Advanced izaberite Performance pa Settings, a potom Custom i isključite sve ponuđene opcije osim zadnjih četiri. Ako zelite, mozete isključiti i treću odozdo.

Aero uljepsava Windowse, ali nakon nekoliko dana ili tjedana zasitit ćete se novosti i bit će vam svejedno kako Windowsi izgledaju, a brzi rad će vam u većini slučajeva značiti puno vise od izgleda.

Isključite UAC

Konstantno paljenje UAC-a, koji stiti vase računalo od neovlastenog pristupa, trosi određeno vrijeme i usporava rad na računalu pa mozete isključiti opciju User Access Control. Imajte na umu da ćete tako sniziti sigurnosni nivo vaseg računala.

Na Control Panelu otvorite User Accounts pa kliknite na Change User Account Control Settings, a zatim nađite Never Notify. Kliknite OK i ponovo pokrenite računalo.

Isključite Sidebar i Gadgete

Desnim klikom na Sidebar izaberite Properties. Na prozoru koji se otvori maknite kvačicu sa stavke Start sidebar when Windows Starts. Na taj način ćete ustedjeti neko vrijeme pri pokretanju Windowsa.

Isključite Thumbnail Preview

Opcija Thumbnail Preview pokazuje sadrzaj direktorija prije nego sto korisnik uđe u njega. To znači da operativni sustav stalno motri sadrzaj svih direktorija, a to doista trosi resurse.

Dvostruko kliknite na Computer, zatim na meni Organize i izaberite Folder and Search Options. Pod sekcijom Folders Options kliknite na tab View i stavite kvačicu na opciju Always show icons, never thumbnails.

One of the lesser known features of Windows 7 is its Advanced recovery methods. With the advanced recovery feature one can easily reinstall Windows 7 without much hassle.

You can reinstall Windows 7 either from a recovery image provided by your computer manufacturer, or from your original Windows 7 installation disc or Windows 7 USB flash drive.

In this guide, we will show you how to reinstall Windows 7:

1. Open Start menu, type in Recovery in the search box and then hit enter to launch Recovery window.

2.Click Advanced Recovery methods to open Windows 7â€™s advanced recovery methods.

3. In the Advanced Recovery window, you will see two options:

# Use a system image you created earlier to recover your computer: If you have created a system image, you can use it to replace everything on your computer, including Windows, programs, and all your files, with the information saved on the system image.

# Reinstall Windows (requires Windows installation disc): This option will reinstall Windows on your computer. Afterward, you can restore your files from a backup. Any programs you have installed will need to be reinstalled using the original installation discs or files. Existing might remain in the Windows.old folder on your hard disk after the reinstall completes.

4. Click Reinstall Windows option to start the reinstallation procedure. You will be asked to backup your files in the next step. Click Backup now option to backup your files such as document, pictures and music to a USB, DVD or external hard disk.

Click Skip and then click Restart button to restart your PC to start the reinstall process.

Note: When you use this method (Reinstall Windows), the existing Windows installation will be moved to the Windows.old directory. You can retrieve data from that location after the restore completes. Any programs you have installed will need to be reinstalled.

5. Once you hit the restart button, wait for a few minutes to see the following screen. Select your keyboard input method and click Next.

6. In following screen, you will be prompted with reinstall Windows 7 confirmation box. Click Yes to proceed to the next step.

7. Now insert your Windows 7 installation disc and then click Yes to see the Windows 7 installing screen. From here onwards, you need to follow the simple onscreen procedure to complete the reinstallation procedure (you can refer our Windows 7 installation procedure).

8. Windows will take a few minutes to show the below screen, where you need to enter a username to your account.

9. Click Next to see the set password box. If you like to set a password for your account, type and then retype the password in respective boxes. Click Next to continue.

10. In this screen, click Use recommend settings and then select your time zone and again click next button to select your network type from available Home, Word or Public network.

11. You are almost done! You have successfully reinstalled Windows 7. You might see the Restore my files box on the desktop. Click Restore my files button if you have done a backup in the step 5.

13. Install all your software and drivers.
