UPC adds HD versions RTL4 and 5

UPC Nederland will start distributing RTL4 HD and RTL5 HD on March 1. The cabler is also extending its VOD offer.
UPC is now fast building up its VOD portal with branded channel offers from Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, Foxlife and MTV on demand. Earlier this week, Ajax TV on demand was added.
The addition of the HD versions of RTL4 and RTL5 will bring the total number of HD channels on the network to 14. UPC already carries RTL7 HD and RTL8 HD.
UPC now carries HD versions of all the channels from RTL Nederland and the Dutch public broadcasters, as well as their catch-up TV services. Remarkably, the SBS channels are absent from both services.
