LT Stream2Dream v2.7

Here we have info on how to set up and use our Stream2Dream plugin.

This extensions should work on the Dreambox:
-asf, avi (divx and xvid), dat (vcd on CD), mov, mp3,
mpg, mpeg, ogg, ts, vob, wav, wma

Requirements for your computer:

* .net Framework >= v2.0

* vlc with installed active-x component (tested with v0.8.6b)
* Our streaming tool

Download and install .NET from Microsoft here.

Download vlc player here if you have not done so. You need version 0.8.6b or newer.

When installing vlc make sure to select use Active X.

Download our streaming tool here (Updated 2010.01.31 to v2.7). Save it to a folder of your choice. Just start the tool by double click on it.

If there will be new version available then you can download via our menu. To do so you select "Addon Manager", select "Download LT Addons". Then you select "Updates..". There you can download updated player for the box if available.

How to use the PC-tool?
The following window should be shown after starting the tool:

Select the tools icon for setup. You need first to select the VLC binaries for the tool. Usally that is in C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC folder. You should already have selected folder on your computer to share. You will see that folder in left main window. You also need to select the folder where the tool can write to. That is in right part of main window. You just click on the name of the folders that you want to use.

After selecting these three intems then push the 'Start Streaming'-Button:

If you get popup asking for Firewall setting, select 'Unblock'

If the LOG-window looks like that on the picture, then
you can start the 'Stream-Player' from your main menu on your Dreambox.

First you need to adjust the player to your preferences. To do that you go to StreamPlayer configuration from our Media Center main menu. After you are in Media Center main menu you use right arrow to go to tools image, there you select StreamPlayer from left menu:

Here you type in your servers ip address and your user and password.
To save you push green button.

Now you have to select Stream-Player. To do that you go to Stream menu and there you can select Stream-Player:

Now you should see the folder on your computer:

Here you can select your movies or music to play on your tv.
