Where have you seen this please?

Thats a load of rubbish, I have today been sent a new firmware which will allow the boxes to work with AC3 sound. the factory has purchased the dolby licence
However it will not be free. There is a small charge to enable the boxes to decode the ac3 signal.
The new firmware is attached

I was thinking it was bullshit alright. a025 How do you mean little charge? Who and how do we pay? Can I download this new firmware?

any news on what else has been changed in this update?
Thx

Most of the fixes they are currently working on are regards to the freezing and glitching problems that people have been complaining about. As they have purchased the dolby licence they can now add ac3 sound to the boxes, keep checking here for more news...

Well that new firmware fixed my crashing on my hd channels Bravo. All i need now is to get the ac3 thing sorted and i can move the box to my bedroom.

great
can you mention about the channel immediately changing when you skip through satellites in the channel menu, this is very annoying as the channel list is quite poor so there will always be scrolling through when you have 15+ satellites to choose from, it should only change when you press Ok like when you scroll up/down

Also mention that in the latest firmware (NM_HDS2_CMT_1006180413), on the composite output at least, PAL output looks fine, but NTSC output is tinted to the green side. The firmware before that, NTSC looked the same as PAL.

Ok Latest news about the solomend boxes is as follows.
The firmware i uploaded has to be flashed to the box before the ac3 problem can be fixed.
Next you need to go the the information screen in the menu and write down all the information on that screen Mac address, Machine, NC, Version.
This information then needs to be sent to the person you purchased the box from.
They then forward this to the factory. The factory then make you a firmware file for your box which is made from the information you supply so please make sure you get it correct.
You then upload this file to your box and the ac3 problem is then fixed. As i said before the factory will charge you a small fee upto $5.00 for doing this.
