Nanoxx Omega HD+

Prema pisanju portala Digitalfernsehen, Nanoxx Omega HD+ pripremljen je za prijem HD+ kanala.

To se moĹľe zahvaliti CI Plus novom modulu koji će biti dostupan od početka oĹľujka. Osim toga box nudi proširene mogućnosti za multimediju, a proizvođač hvali svoj proizvod kao najbolje opremljen s bezbrojnim mogućnostima i najmodernijim dodacima.

Za zvuk se brine Dolby Digital Plus, a od ostalih značajki tu je HDMI 1.3 te rezolucija slike do 1080p. Korisnik moĹľe uĹľivati u progresivnom full HD filmskom materijalu, a ne u samo 1.080 slikama. Box je opremljen HD Twin tunerom i PVR ready funkcijom.

Na straĹľnjoj strani postoji mreĹľa, e-SATA te dva USB priključka, dok se s prednje strane nalazi još jedan USB priključak. Osim toga proizvođač je ukazao i na poboljšane multimedijalne mogućnosti. Radi se o hipermedijskim sadrĹľajima s interaktivnim korištenjem za korisnika. Box stavlja podatke u format MKV, te ih moĹľe ponovo reproducirati do full HD rezolucije 1080p, a mogu se gledati i podaci u video formatu MP4 H264.

Preko integriranog mediaplayera na TV-u se mogu gledati standardi poput AVI (XviD) te JPG fotografije velike rezolucije, mp3 te slideshow s glazbom. Moguće je i emitiranje pojedinih podataka poput filmova ili emisija od boxa na box ili od boxa na kompjuter i obrnuto, a uključen je i UPnP ('Universal Plug and Play') za internu razmjenu podataka.

Vlasnici novog Omega modela na internetu mogu skinuti softverski plan razvoja, u kojem se vidi koje sve funkcije putem updatea još mogu doći u primjenu, npr. CI Plus modul certifikacija za oĹľujak i moguć pristup na internet te na youtube sadrĹľaje putem integriranog browsera za travanj. Ovaj se uređaj moĹľe kupiti u specijalnim trgovinama, a cijena mu iznosi 449 eura.

Digitalfernsehen je objavio da je box već došao u njihov laboratorij za testiranje, pa se moĹľe očekivati da će u jednom od idućih izdanja biti još detaljnije predstavljen.

1. Bugs fixed / improved:
System may be halted or unstable when/after you select the file to play back which the name is more than 48 bytes: this bug exists only in the version 1.11N.
AC-3 audio track does not sound sometimes.
MPEG1/2 audio track has no sound via S/PDIF output when the SPDIF Output menu in Audio Video menu is Bit Stream.
Teletext pages more than 800 are not shown.
Timer recording with favorite channels does not stop.
VFD shows wrong channel name which was moved in Channel Manager.

2. UPnP stability improved.

3. Radio channels can be recorded: no background moving picture when playback - will be fixed in the next update.

Known Problems/Issues (to be solved in the near future)
The performace of recording to NTFS disk is not good! (Please use FAT32 format disk for it until this issue is fixed in the near future)
A/V may not track correctly for channels which the contents are changed on the fly when switching to regional subchannels.
Internal loop-through has some malfunction, it will be fixed

1. Bugs fixed / improved:

  * Internal loop-through does not work.
  * Too less size of capacity is available after formatting a 1~2TB(tera byte) hard disk.
  * A/V may not track correctly for channels which the contents are changed on the fly when switching to regional subchannels.

2. A folder can be copyed, moved, and removed by using GUI menus.

3. You can find the UPnP sharing folder in the Network menu, a popup dialog was improved for when no usable disk is present for UPnP.

4. HDMI 1080p 24Hz video resolution was added.

2010-04-16: Software Version 1.16

Note: If you are already using Firmware Version 1.10 than you can upgrade directly to v1.16. If you are using older Firmware than v1.10 than please read carefully the older release notes.

  * External disks can be formatted by using the Format Disk menu under the System Service menu, it uses Ext3 type (Linux standard) and overcomes the limitations of slow NTFS and maximum 4GB file size in a FAT32 formatted disk. Windows(tm) does not support Ext3 type but you can access it after installing a third-party (open source) software which can do. You can find out many softwares by googling with the key words, "ext3 windows".
  * Media file browser in the Multimedia menu was replaced (improved) with the one which is raised when the MEDIA button is pressed.
  * Wrong umlaut vowels in a teletext were fixed; this bug lives on v1.15N.
  * Some translations in german improved.
  * Progress Bar implemented in Multi Channel EPG and Single Channel EPG
  * When using DiSEqC 1.1 with serveral satellites and only 1 LNB is connected (auto loopthrough) and channel list is very long than channellist appeared after too long time when recording a channel because choosable channels are colored yellow - fixed. Now channellist appears very fast.
  * EPG story information is stored when recording. Press info button during playback to see story information.
  * Default satellite settings after factory reset now both tuners are checked for having 2 tuners available. If you have only 1 signal cable than choose "x" for second tuner input but both check.
  * Omega hang up when copying file from internal to external USB harddisk - fixed.
  * Subchannel selection by OPTION button has been fixed for Sky Germany
  * Timer programming improved for simultaneous events.

2010-06-28: Software Version 1.18

We are very sorry for not releasing new firmware updates during the last weeks. The reason for this was that all engineering power has been concentrated on implementing CI+ in the Set-Top-Box. The CI+ certification procedure is quite difficult and very expensive therefor it was very important for us to succeed in the very first trial. The good news: we made it! Now we have to implement the product keys into the CI+ firmware and this will be released in the next days after beta testing. In this version 1.18 which we are releasing today there is no CI+ support integrated yet. We ask for a bit of patience.

* Media player improved: The last playing position is stored to the folder which the file is present if you stop the playing by the STOP button.
* Media player improved: The time stamp of a recorded file will be correct if the front module had correct time when the system starts.
* Media player improved: Play banner improved
* Media player improved: Task commands in File browser reorderd
* Bug fixed: System hangs up at the end of copying or deleting a file if the UPNP Server is On and Ethernet IP is not assigned (e.g. no Ethernet cabling).
* Bug fixed: Teletext Page 100 was only displayed after switch forward and backward.
