What is Fire Distribution?
This is a new firmware distribution for QBoxHD. The purpose for this distribution is to detect and report bugs and afterward replace the classic “stable version” to this new FIRE Distribution.
Fire Distribution files will be released with the filename acronim FD and the release date.
From now on, these FD versions, as well as the classic ones, include the automatic kernel installation, thus there is no need to install it manually using QHU files anymore.
A big Enigma 2 update has been done to update to implement a lot of functions and bug fixes that are not present in the “stable version”
Requirements:
The bootloader update QHU from 25 sept 2009. Bootloader update is done through the serial port connected to the PC.
Use QHU from 25 sept just in case of disaster crash.
Further information can be read in the “Boot Update” section of Tutorial 4.
To all image makers:
Please start porting your images using this Fire Distribution and the classic “stable version” will be discontinued as soon as the FD will be considered acceptable.

- Ticket #411: ci: Fixed bug: Problem with conax cam menu


Enigma2:

- Ticket #405: Fixed bug: HDD stand-by does not work with sdparm.
Note that the USB HDD must be connected to the decoder before turning it on.
A menu appears in Menu->System->Setup->Harddisk->Harddisk Setup that allows
to set when the HDD should enter stand-by mode.
Some USB HDD do not support the internal commands issued by sdparm. However,
most of the HDD produced during the last couple of years support them.
- Ticket #420: Fixed bug: The NIT table doesn't have the correct info with some
terrestrial channel causing that some freqs be skipped when scanning
in automatic mode.
- Ticket #419: Fixed bug: When the DiseqC system detachs/attachs the LNB
sat cable, the tuner doesn't lock again.
- Ticket #409: Fixed bug: Crash if we fail to open/read the file
/proc/bus/nim_sockets.
- Ticket #421: Fixed bug: Crash when detaching USB HardDisk from receiver.

* Ticket #379: Fixed bug: Remove the version displayed in the front-panel LCD.

Enigma2:

* Ticket #406: Fixed bug: HDD is not always recognized when attached.
* Ticket #435: Fixed bug: Crash when doing a Backup from the respective menu.
* Ticket #441: Fixed bug: Crash when choosing YPbPr in AV settings.
* Ticket #429: Fixed bug: e2 consumes a lot of CPU under certain circumstances.
* Ticket #430: Fixed bug: When recording in stand-by and turning on, the live ts was not displayed.

Filesystem:

* Ticket #439: Enhancement: Reduce the write and file-locking traffic in the filesystem improving the access time.
* Enhancement: Boot time reduced by 3 seconds.

Fire Distribution Filesystem and Bootloader

available 11/05/2009


It is needed to update the Bootloader using the QBoxHD Updater released along with this update before installing this new filesystem!!
