TVP unexpectedly resumed broadcasting 7E

Polish public television TVP (Telewizja Polska) unexpectedly resumed broadcasting on satellite Eutelsat W3A (7°E). The DVB-S multiplex appeared programs TVP1, TVP2, TVP Info Warszawa, TVP Polonia, TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.

Thematic channel TVP are not part of the multiplex. All programs are broadcast in the compression format MPEG-2, which may suggest that cable operators in Poland are having difficulties with the transition to MPEG-4.

TVP1 and TVP2 for satellite Eutelsat W3A (7°E) are encoded *** Videoguard, others are freely broadcast (FTA).

According to previous information will be the night of 31 May on 1 June ceased broadcasting of TVP in MPEG-2 Astra 1KR (19.2°E) freq at 10.773 GHz, pol. H, SR 22000, FEC 5/6. Posting will continue to MPEG-4 at frequency 10.862 GHz, pol. H, SR 22000, FEC 7/8 DVB-S.
