4 August Ariane 5 will fly with Nilesat 201

Launcher Ariane 5 ECA is ready to carry out a third mission in 2010, Arianespace to launch satellites Nilesat 201 and RASCOM-QAF1R production Thales Alenia Space will 4 August 2010 hours year. 17:45 (22:45 our time) from Gujańskiego Space Centre in Kourou. The upcoming mission is designated V196, signifying the 196th flight of Ariane rocket family. Ariane 5 for this mission was delivered to Arianespace earlier this month by EADS Astrium.

Nilesat 201, first separated from the rocket and orbital position will 7W. The satellite will provide a number of broadcasting services to North Africa and the Middle East for the Egyptian satellite operator Nilesat. It was built on the Spacebus 4000B2 platform and is equipped with 24 Ku-band transponders and four Ka-band transponders. Nilesat 201 will be off weight of more than 3,200 kilograms.

QAF1R RASCOM-off mass of 3,000 kg, will reach the African continent and parts of Europe and Middle East orbital position 2.85 E. It was built on the Spacebus 4000B3 platform and is equipped with 12 Ku-band transponders and eight C-band transponders.
