Footprint Media to launch international 3D channel

International channel operator Footprint Media is launching a 3D channel High TV in April.

The family entertainment channel will launch across Europe, Asia and North America on April 4 and will air a raft of travel series, cooking shows, drama series and reality shows as part of its library of 450 hours of native 3D content. The channel will launch in association with satellite services company RRsat.

"With 3D TV we enter a new chapter of television history and we are proud to lead the way with High TV," said head of business development Gwenael Flatres.
