IPTV News traffic up 50% in 2009
« on: November 16, 2009, 06:03:28 PM »

The number of monthly visits to IPTV News website has increased 50% in 2009 to date, from an average of 12,500 visits at the start of the year to nearly 19,000 visits in October.

A redesign of the site was carried out last January, making it easier to navigate recently-added content whilst considerably expanding the amount of video available on the website's homepage, including operator interviews and previews of upcoming events.

Other new features added this year include the ability to post comments on news stories, and use content recommendation tools including Digg, StumbleUpon, Twitter and Reddit. The opening of a Twitter account also enables readers to receive automated tweets when new content is published on the site.

We have also adopted a new strategy for reader polls, centred around the IPTV World Series events, with new polls added one month prior to each event in the series, tackling IPTV issues related to the region concerned (which include North America, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific and the MEA region).

With visits from all over the world, but predominantly from the main IPTV hotspots of Europe and the US, the website is gaining increasing recognition as the leading destination for IPTV-related news, interviews and features on the World Wide Web.
