But when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning with pounding headaches, they can't remember a thing. Their luxury hotel suite is beyond trashed and the groom is nowhere to be found. With no clue about what happened and little time to spare, the trio must attempt to retrace their bad decisions from the night before in order to figure out where things went wrong in the hopes of finding Doug and getting him back to L.A. in time for his wedding. But the more they begin to uncover, the more they realize just how much trouble they're really in.

Missing her friends and finding her parents to be distracted by their work, Coraline tries to find some excitement in her new environment. She is befriended - or, as she sees it, is annoyed - by a local boy close to her age, Wybie Lovat (Robert Bailey Jr.) and visits her older neighbors, eccentric British actresses Miss Spink and Forcible (Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French) as well as the arguably even more eccentric Russian Mr. BobinSk* (Ian McShane). After these encounters, Coraline seriously doubts that her new home can provide anything truly intriguing to her... but it does; she uncovers a secret door in the house. Walking through the door and then venturing through an eerie passageway, she discovers an alternate version of her life and existence. On the surface, this parallel reality is similar to her real life - only much better. The adults, including the solicitous Other Mother (also voiced by Teri Hatcher), seem much more welcoming to her. Coraline is more the center of attention there - even from the mysterious Cat (Keith David). She begins to think that this Other World might be where she belongs. But when her wondrously off-kilter, fantastical visit turns dangerous and Other Mother schemes to keep her there, Coraline musters all of her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home - and save her family.

The film also introduces a team of mutants, including several whose appearances in the movie series have been long anticipated. Movie audiences will meet Team X, a covert military cadre comprised entirely of mutants. Its members are: Wolverine; his brother Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber), aka Sabretooth, a feral being of unimaginable power; Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), later to be known as Deadpool, a high-tech mercenary skilled at swordplay; Agent Zero (Daniel Henney), an expert tracker and lethal marksman; Wraith (Will.i.am), a teleporter; Fred J. Dukes (Kevin Durand), also known as The Blob, a morbidly obese and super-strong behemoth; and Bradley (Dominic Monaghan), who can manipulate electricity. Leading them is William Stryker (Danny Huston), a figure introduced in X2: X-Men United, but whose origins and motives are now fully explored, for it is Stryker's complex relationship with Wolverine that defines much of Logan's past ... and future.

On 5 December 1492, a gang led by former bishop Niklas is killed by villagers who refuse to put up with the gang’s looting and killing any longer. In years in which the gang’s death date coincides with a full moon, they return as murderous ghosts. The public is unaware of this and annually celebrates the Sinterklaas tradition on 5 December, with adults believing that Sinterklaas does exist, but making little children believe that he is benevolent. The Zwart Pieten are not black by race but as a result of the fire in which they were killed. Niklas’ crosier has sharp edges and is a weapon. On 5 December Sinterklaas and the Zwart Pieten do not stand out, as many people are dressed like them for the celebration. The last time the ghostly gang returned was in 1968. Hundreds of people were killed, including the whole family of a little boy, Goert, who is now a police officer. The authorities downplay the incidents, and they, as well as the Roman Catholic Church, keep the possible involvement of Niklas a secret. Since there is a full moon on 5 December 2010, Goert is very concerned, and recomme$$$ forbidding all Sinterklaas activities and increasing surveillance, but he is not taken seriously and sent on leave. As Goert predicted, the gang returns, and kills hundreds of people, including Goert.
