Multiple LNB configuration problem with vt-1
« on: October 17, 2011, 01:33:40 PM »
Hi

I have just upgraded my receiver to a VT-1s and have a problem configuring my LNBs.

My setup with my old reciever was with 2 LNBs and Diseqc switch. 1st pointing to Astra2 (28.3 for my English channels)
and the 2nd pointing to Astra 1 (19.2) for the German channels.

Now with my new Vantage VT-1 I have replaced the 1st LNB with a twin LNB with the second output connected to the 2nd tuner in the VT-1
so that I can watch other English channels while recoding another. I am not so interestd in this feature with the German channels.

So on the VT-1 I have scanned both Satellites on Tuner 1 (the one which goes to the switch) and all the channels work fine.
I then scan Astra2 on tuner 2 (direct connection to the LNB) and all the channels are there and work fine.

So here is the problem:

After I set up tuner 2 I lose all the channels from Astra 1 on the high (11.70-12.75 GHz) band, The low band still works.
Only when I turn off the LNB power on Tuner 2 do they come back but of course then I can not get any channels from Tuner 2.

Any help would be appreciated

Problem solved.

Turned out to be a bad wall socket. I had replaced the old single socket with a new double and one connection caused the problems. took out the soctket and did a direct connection and all works fine
